CALL FOR ORGANISATIONS // REGIONAL YOUTH FORUM: From Distance to Connectivity among youth from Serbia and Albania

We invite representatives of youth organizations, youth associations and initiatives, organizations working with and for youth from Republic of Serbia and Republic of Albania to apply for participation at the Regional Youth Forum: From Distance to Connectivity among youth from Serbia and Albania”, which will take place in Niš, Serbia (small hall of the Officers House), on October 30th, 2017, from 10h to 20h.

The topics that will be in the main focus at the Forum are following:

  • Social distance between Serbian and Albanian youth;
  • The role of youth actors in connectivity process among Serbian and Albanian Youth;
  • Opportunities for regional cooperation and action in the framework of joint youth initiatives;
  • Development of joint initiative on identified topic for the following period.

Within the Regional Youth Forum participants will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the:

  • Existing regional initiative “Humans of Albania and Serbia”;
  • Online platform youthumans.net;
  • Work of Regional Youth Cooperation Office – RYCO and their project application for the first call for project proposals and funding;
  • Results of the online survey conducted in Serbia and Albania on the Social distance between Serbian and Albanian youth.

Interested candidates should fill in the application form (click on link to fill in the application form) with relevant data and short motivation for participation at the Regional Youth Forum. Deadline for application is October 24th, 2017.

Due to limited number of potential participant, previous work experience, engagement, motivation, as well as gender balance will be considered in the participants’ selection process.

For all Regional Youth Forum participants organizer will cover:

–      Roundtrip bus ticket from the place of arrival to Niš;

–      Accommodation and food in the period October 29th – 31st, 2017.

Official Agenda and all supporting technical information regarding the accommodation and program of the Forum will be delivered to the selected participants after the closing of the application process on October 24th, 2017.

Working language at the Regional Youth Forum will be English.

 

The Regional Youth Forum is organized within the project “Imaginary Distance”, implemented by the Association for Development of Children and Youth – OPEN CLUB from Niš, Serbia in cooperation with Together in Community for Development Society from Durres, Albania, within the platform Humans of Albania and Serbia (www.youthumans.net), supported by the OSCE Mission to Serbia in partnership with the OSCE Presence in Albania, Serbian Ministry of Youth and Sports, Albanian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Albanian National Youth Service and National Youth Council of Serbia, in the framework of the project “Enhancing regional connectivity among Serbia and Albania youth actors”. Project is financially supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
