European Youth Parliament (EYP) is a youth non-governmental and non-partisan organization.
European Youth Parliament is composed of forty organizations throughout Europe, which makes it one of the largest youth networks in the world. European Youth Parliament Serbia is part of this network and it was established in 2006.

Its main objective is to raise general awareness and activism among young people, develop tolerance and international cooperation. The European Youth Parliament Serbia is focused on raising awareness among youth about the ongoing problems facing the European continent such as the refugee crisis, human rights issues, or economic, societal, legal, and environmental problems. The organisation is committed to giving young people from different parts of Serbia an equal opportunity to have their voice heard by giving them a platform to discuss. EYP’s mission is to support the development of young people into politically aware and responsible citizens by involving them in European political thinking and promoting intercultural understanding. EYP is a platform for non-formal education.
EYP Serbia’s role in community is to encourage interaction between the youth from Serbia and the region as well as to improve their participation on the local, national and international level.

European Youth Parliament Serbia is run by the Board consisting of six members between the 18 and 22 years of age. The organization has around 100 active members. All members participate in projects as volunteers since EYP Serbia doesn’t have any employees.

We are looking for high school students willing to participate in various discussions and debates, develop their understanding of European community, as well as contribute to the society by promoting intercultural understanding, equality and freedom of speech. However, we are also eager to connect with other entities promoting same values and working with youth, as well as possibly collaborate on various projects that match the mission of our organisation. European Youth Parliament Serbia constantly works on improving knowledge and skills of its members, which is why volunteers frequently have trainings in the fields of peer-to-peer education, event organising and media team work (editing pictures, videos and newspapers, taking pictures, writing articles, reporting etc.). Therefore, we are always looking for opportunities for our members to practice these skills, learn even more and share them with others.

European Youth Parliament is the organisation of young people working for young people and it values knowledge sharing as one of its main functioning principles. This is why we are also opened for training events or mentorship programs on the topics of fundraising, youth education and activism, communication strategies (internal and external), leadership skills and team facilitation.
