The Open Club is association founded in 1996 and since then, it has continuously been working on development of programs and projects for children and youth at local, regional and national level, engaging in that way more than 20.000 stakeholders (children, young people, teachers, parents, decision makers, etc.) through workshops, trainings, seminars, conferences, theater plays and musical performances, advocacy and awareness campaigns, TV and radio shows, etc.
Mission of the Open Club is to create equal possibilities for development of children and youth by affirming the differences and strengthening the youth for active and responsible participation in the society. The vision is that all children have equal possibilities for development and as active and responsible citizens they participate in democratic society that nourishes tolerance, intercultural relations and solidarity.
Project and programs developed in the Open Club are aimed at:
Projects and programs developed and implemented by the Open Club are mostly aimed at: Empowerment of children and youth through education, Development of social skills of children and youth for active participation at all levels, Advocacy towards fulfilment of human and child rights, Provision of psycho-social support for children and youth in risk, Promotion of interculturality, anti-discrimination, gender equality and tolerance, Improvement of democratic processes at local and national level and strengthening the role civil sector in the decision making processes, Support for the youth initiatives, Promotion and development of volunteerism at all levels, Research, analysis and production of publications concerning children and youth, Establishing and development of communication channels with Governmental bodies, Local self-governments and Institutions, Establishing of cooperation and partnership with civil society and business sector, Development of international cooperation and networking, independently and through the EU programs, Promotion of the EU values and support of the EU integration process.
Through newly created HOAS platform, Open Club is looking for CSOs, Youth Organizations and Networks from both Albania and Serbia that share same values and principles, for potential cooperation and partnership in development and implementation of national and international projects and initiatives.
